TVS Motor Company has unveiled the TVS Jupiter CNG, the world’s first factory-fitted CNG scooter, at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2025. This innovative concept combines the trusted Jupiter 125 platform with eco-friendly, dual-fuel technology, offering riders a cost-effective and environmentally conscious commuting option.

The Jupiter CNG comes equipped with a 1.4 kg CNG cylinder under the seat, alongside a 2-litre petrol tank. Together, they provide a combined range of approximately 226 km. Switching between petrol and CNG is easy via a handlebar-mounted button, allowing riders to choose the fuel type according to availability and preference.
Engine and Performance
The scooter retains the 124.8 cc single-cylinder engine, tuned for optimal CNG performance. It delivers 7.2 PS at 6,000 rpm and 9.4 Nm of torque at 5,500 rpm. The top speed is around 80 km/h, sufficient for city commuting and light suburban travel. While slightly less powerful than the standard Jupiter 125, it maintains smooth and reliable performance for everyday use.

The Jupiter CNG closely resembles the standard Jupiter 125 in terms of styling, seating posture, and ergonomics. The under-seat storage has been partially replaced by the CNG tank, reducing helmet space, though a small front apron cubby helps retain some utility. Launch Timeline and Pricing
The TVS Jupiter CNG is expected to reach showrooms in October 2025. Ex-showroom pricing is estimated between ₹90,000 and ₹1 lakh. The scooter will be available through TVS dealerships and online channels, with potential launch offers such as cashback, low down payment, and EMI options.
